For many farmers June 1 means one thing - time to move. As the new season starts around the country, thousands of families move to new farms. For us that means bookings start coming in from February onwards and what we have noticed is that there is a shortage of trucks for this one week of the year and it is creating stress for those that really require help and can't move themselves.
A few things we have learnt from phone calls from our clients this season is to be prepared and check what time you need to be out and what time you are allowed in. If you need to be out on the morning of June 1st and moving into the new property the same afternoon, chances are you are one of many who are in need of the same booking. Unfortunately we can only help a small number of families on this one day so here are a few ideas to try:
June 1 will always be with us, good planning leading up to this date and effective communication surrounding the move is crucial to minimising stress and disruption to you and your family.
